2013 Juanita Haugen - High School Community of Character Awards
Sri Muppidi - Amador Valley High School
Sri is an AP Scholar. She participated in the very successful "We the
People" program this year which won second place in the nation. She has earned
both Gold and Silver Girl Scout Awards. She participated in DECA and was awarded
the DECA Lifetime Ambassador Award. She won the President's Volunteer Gold
Service Award. She is a member of the UNICEF club and participated on the mock
trial team. She also is a member of the marching band and concert band. She has
many volunteer hours. As part of her volunteer work she traveled to Tunisia to
help build wells for communities there.
Rameen Dhindsa - Foothill High School
Rameen works with "The Suitcase Clinic" helping to clothe and take care of homeless
people in Berkeley. She ran a clothing drive at two high schools, which resulted
in thousands of articles of clothing being donated."
Natalie Lopez - Village High School
Natalie has been an exemplary student who has consistently proven to be a dedicated
member of our school community. Since enrolling at Village, Natalie has sought opportunities
to be involved in providing outreach to our community via performing countless hours of
community service on campus and in the City of Pleasanton. Additionally, Natalie has been
involved in her leadership class and has been completely devoted to the roles
and responsibilities she had been assigned.
Finally, Natalie will be the first in her family to graduate from high school. This is a
huge accomplishment for her and proves she is truly a dedicated student leader.
We are all very proud of her and confident she will continue to make a difference in
our community
