2012 Juanita Haugen - High School Community of Character Awards

 

Catherine Mayo, Foothill High School

While a student at FHS, Catherine had a 4.19 GPA and displayed a commitment to Foothill in numeous ways.  She organized Youth in Government day through her position on the Pleasanton Youth Commission.  She was a key member of Peer Advocates, We the People, and tutors freshmen in English.  She is a wonderful student, a wonderful person and displays the character traits on a daily basis.  She demonstrates excellence in both the classroom and the comunity.

 

Cynthia Hsia, Amador Valley High School

While a student at Amador Valley High School, Cynthia was involved with Dcca in the 11th and 12 grades.  She was in RO Finance and Busines, Unicef and CSF.  She was an active member of he Interat Rotary Club, she tutortedfor middle school students.  She maintained a 4.0 GPS while volunteering for Congessman McNeaney's Office for three years.  Her greatest skill is i time management.

Conner Luce, Village High School

Conner came to Village as a sophomore and graduated early.  He was in Leadership, on the Student Advisory to the Board, was our speaker for the Drug and Alcohol Forum while working part-time at Starbucks.  He continued to work at Starbucks while attending classes at DVC.
